his is an affordable red Bordeaux, that's equally at home with either a painstakingly prepared meal, or leftovers. It's properly considered one of the world's great red wine values!
It starts with a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon from vines grown on the sandy soils near the Dordogne River. After picking, the grapes undergo a long, two week maceration period, ultimately producing a wine that abounds with cassis, raspberry, cherry, and earthy spice flavors, and a very long finish.

This is the second label of the fine wines of Jean-Jacques Lesgourgues, who's built a premier winery on his 17th Century property. The main label is Chateau Cadillac Lesgourgues (also highly recommended!) La Mouliniere is a very approachable wine that pairs with nearly any dish. It can easily become your everyday red.
