he searing heat of 2003 was a challenge to growers throughout Bordeaux. Rich wine from small harvests became the hallmark of that year's vintage. At Chateau Colbert, the season produced wines of intense garnet color, mature flavors and aromas, with a long aging potential.

Chateau Colbert is a small estate vineyard in the Côtes de Bourg. About 70% of their production is Merlot, with the balance being Cabernet Sauvignon. The soil is gravelly limestone on a gently sloping terrain. The Chateau dates to the late 19th Century. Their wines have consistently received notable awards in competition, and great press reviews in France.
